And the white chick that sang the soulless Respect rendition. Are you serious?  That's a surprise.  For one thing, that performance didn't really let her show a lot of range. I would have thought that Angela or Jazmin would have gotten more votes. I am no expert on singing, but I sorta liked Alexis - she had an interesting quality to her voice - although I *really* wish she hadn't performed I Will Survive .  I totally agree that contenstants should avoid overdone karaoke songs.  And there should definitely be a moratorium on Whitney Houston songs.

When the judges were asked who they thought would be picked for the last seat, all of them said Alexis...I was TOTALLY shocked to see Aj get it.  I think he sounds like Justin Timberlake, but he doesn't show any emotion at all, no action or anything.  I think maybe if he wasn't so limp during his performances, and picked better songs (haha, if he tried N'Sync), he may have been much better. Kel There are a lot of teenyboppers clogging up the phone lines and voting for the singers who look most likely to be in a boy band. That explains why the undeserving Jim Verarros and A.J. Gil got in the Top 10. If you go to the American Idol message board, you'll see what I'm talking about. Some people kept voting on redial for the entire two hours.
