This newsgroup is a bit unusual, because it is open to everyone and a bunch of Mensans meets a bunch of non-Mensans here. The non-Mensans are a peculiar selection, because only certain people come here to talk to Mensans. Even more peculiarly, some of these non-Mensans first join this Mensa newsgroup, then try to criticize Mensa. The purpose of this behavior escapes me, but perhaps you can explain it. What is the antecedent of that in the above sentence.  If I didn't know better I'd say it was answering arcane trivia questions.  However, I do suspect that you mean that you think that the true test of intellect is great accomplishments. That is certainly one indication of intellect. However, there are a lot of people who are just as smart as Newton and who, for whatever reason, haven't had great accomplishments.  Nonetheless, you haven't provided me any evidence that Mensa's members are a bunch of losers.  From what I can tell, it's a social club for people who like stimulating conversation.
